SINGLES KNOCKOUT
We propose to again hold this competion throughout the year with set dates for the various rounds to be completed. A maximum of 32 players will be allowed and entries will be on a first come, first served basis. Handicap will be handicap plus slope with all entrants receving full handicap. In the event of a tie at the end of 18 holes, extra holes should be played until a result is achieved either on the same day or at the next convenient date prior to the end date of the round. Please only enter the competition if you are able to meet the dates by which each round must be completed.
The player drawn first in each tie is responsible for contacting their opponent to arrange the tie and we must be advised on the email booking form of the arramgements so that provsion can be made in the playing order for that day. All games must be played on a Society Day. In the event that the tie has not been completed by the end date of the round, the match will be awarded to the player that was available most times during the period that the tie had to be played in. Should these be equal, match will be decided on toss of a coin. Any disputes will be decided by the Founders, which decision will be final and by entering the competition the members accept this and all other conditions.

The periods for the rounds to be played are as follows:-
First Round to be complete by end of April (16 matches)
Second Round to be complete by end of June(8 matches)
Third Round to be complete by end of September( 4matches)
Semi-Finals to be complete by end of October
Final to be played by first week in December
